Meetings
The big chief is visiting tomorrow...
bathroom meetings
Don't know if women do this or if it is just a 'guy thing'
but i just had a brief 'farewell meeting' in the loo.
after working with Harry for many years, he's our classic disgruntled employee who is 'retiring'.
he's had it and finally with all the stuff that is going on, layoffs re-hirings bs, this is his opportunity to bail out with a life jacket.
we'll missing him because he brought sense & order where confusion reigns in the land of procurement.pep talk meetings
speaking of meetings, there will be another one scheduled with Jay Walder for Otober 1. don't know if you heard, but he's the head honcho of all of MTA in NYC who is in charge of major overhauls and making all these changes to our company. I think he might be the scapegoat for someone else while trying to horsewhip us into shape.
I predict this meeting will either be to give us a pat on the back for morale or one of those "make every dollar into gold1" type of talks to squeeze us dry of all resources.so-sad meeting
These are the worst kind; where they come to commiserate and wallow in their self perpetuating incompetence.
1 - Jay's favorite saying, "Make every dollar count", easy to say when you can practically run a whole department on his salary.
