  • Our dear coworker Bob told me a few days ago that he had purchased an iPod video or whatever those new fangled contraptions are called - for $350.
That in of itself isn't unusual. As with any good story, it involves a girl..naturally.

Being the kind of guy he is...unable to cope under pressure it was to be expected.

It turns out he was in the store with a girl, and she asks him, "So are you going to buy something".
Unable to take this overwhelming pressure of looking weak in front of the opposite sex, he decides to play the 'macho' cool guy and says, "Yes, I'm going to buy this Ipod, give me a minute"
The next day at work he tells us, "Do any of you want to buy a brand new IPod?"
And I'm like "No way, I got this really awesome player already"

What a maroon. In the end he went back to the store and traded it in for a smaller 'cheaper' IPod Nano behind her back.

I have to say, despite being an anti-Appler I see this is quality hardware. Well built and solid feeling tiny little device. The screen matches my currently player, although my OLED (organic) blows it out of the water...for the next few years at least until it wears out. The nano seems to have a more powerful processor to play all sorts of games while mine can barely do flash games.
The stock earbuds that come with the nano is mediocre. It is crisp and clean.

  • I would have saved that money for a PS3, invested it, or emergency fund :P .
