  • Koozaaaa!

    Today. Try #2. Rainy again.

    good show. I'm just trying to imagine the logistics of setting up such a thing in the middle of an island.
    they had portable bathrooms with sinks outside of the porta-potties, hooked up to non-potable water system. also an external power generator which had to be place far enough away to not resound through the tents.

    The show was about 3hours long with 30 minutes for an intermission. They had acrobats, dancers, contortionists, juggler, unicyclists, trapeeze artist, highwire people and more. The place was air conditioned and during the scenes where the little boy was flying his kite the air flowed noticeably through the tent.
    It was quite interactive, they had the clowns run through the audience before the show, had a volunteer get up on stage so they can pickpocket him, even had a girl get stuffed under the stage only to pop up later on  (too bad she missed half the show), and then had some guy from the audience get up there to 'dance' with the clowns. They even made the person sitting in the 'J' seat (for joke?) rise up about six feet. I thought her fat ass was gonna fall over onto her neighbors because she looked off balance and the chair moved up and down.
    The clowns played an important role in distracting the crowd while the people were setting up the netting and equipment on stage.
    The lighting was great. Fades, colors and spotlighting highlites. The music fit the performance very well. I believe most of it was performed live as well.

    These guys were pretty good too, they did a jump rope routine as well as physically jumping over someone bent over while balancing on the rope to land on the other side. They fell off once but they did it again and got it the second time. Very cool.


    This guy knows how to ride a bike. Plus he was twirling that girl around like a puppet while riding it. Nice.


    Juggling! He did everything, pins, hoops, balls, hoops with balls, and a lot of them all at the same time.
    I can only do 3 :(


    Popping around on stilts from a see-saw is very classic.


    These two were really really bendy. And they made nice flexing shapes. (one of them must have been on vacation when i saw it)


    These guys were my favorite. The wheel of death! There were two nets diagonally to catch them in case they fall. So nice and dangerous as they walk on the outside of the wheel.
    This guy was quite amazing, balancing on those chairs and stealing my one handed push-up maneuver.


    This was the opening act, balancing on those balls and rolling around on them was too funny.
    All they needed was a bear or two.


    She did the ribbon twirly swirly trapeezy thingy. Nice.

    Although the admission was overpriced with all the extra hidden fees and the $25 dollar parking fee which I managed to avoid by walking 1/4 mile, it was well worth the experience to see it just once.
