  • How to grow a planet

This awesome series is an deniable combination of what I like mixed all up in a neat package.

-A host with a quirky accent, Iain Stewart, in his likeable Scottish accent as he narrates the episodes with such phrases as “plants harnessing energy from outer space” and injecting energy into the food chain.

-A learning experience where you can finally see how all the pieces fit together to form this bigger picture of how everything is connected through the vast lifetime of the planet’s history

-The music matches the show perfectly and has a nice upbeat full of sunshine and life-rays of hopeful goodness. (I’ve seen ones where the host and musical combination was so ethereally a downer enough that you want to commit suicide)

  • Thai shabu shabu.

That’s a new one. Gotta try it.

I think only the soup base would be different.

After trying it, I wasn’t filled. It was a dainty lunch. [insert pic]

  • Injustice

The whole speed trap is one big scheme for the state to generate revenue. There is a schedule they must maintain and they work in this small fuzzy area of the law.

I got a ticket on Christmas Eve for going a supposed 77 in a 55 zone. That’s a lot of points and the fine in over $254.

    [details here]

In the end I get the sense that they are not interested in justice, but just want to make money. When money is the goal, corruption follows. The whole system disgusts me.

  • Time

    Trouble Maker – Time
makes a good winter song for all the single souls out there. the truth is that it does take time to heal. along the way we may try a different road and find new friends, new loves, new beginnings

Time (Time) – when the solitary winter comes
Time (Time) – I stand on this solitary street that cannot be found
Now I try to erase you
I long for you and I can’t forget you

As I walk the streets alone, in case I run into you
I carefully look around me (as I stand in that place)
In this place that is filled with our memories of being together
I can’t forget you, I keep thinking of you

Like a fool, I know that you won’t come back
But it was so good back then,
Why did I hate you so much back then?
I regret – I want to go back to that time
    I want to go back

Time (Time) – when the solitary winter comes
Time (Time) – I stand on this solitary street that cannot be found
Now I try to erase you
I long for you and I can’t forget you.

Whenever a person who looks like you passes by
I think that maybe it’s you (and I secretly stole a glance)
In front of the coffee house at the crossroads that we used to go often
I lingered alone and waited for you

I know well that you won’t ever come back
    But I can’t forget you -
Why did I dislike you so much back then?
I regret – I want to love again
    I want to love

Time (Time) – when the solitary winter comes
Time (Time) – I stand on this solitary street that cannot be found
Now I try to erase you
I long for you and I can’t forget you

At some point, I stand alone on this unlighted street
You won’t return again, I don’t want to forget you
I can’t go on without you

Time (Time) – when the solitary winter comes
Time (Time) – I stand on this solitary street that cannot be found
Now I try to erase you
I long for you and I can’t forget you

  • Porch Pirates

    Tis the season! Arrrrgggghhh.

It is unbelievable what people will do – Walk up to your porch and take the packages that weren’t taken into the house that were left by the delivery companies. Plenty of goods since it is that time of year so hide your kids and hide your wives.
