We arrive there late, no thanks to Bob. Every chain is a weak as its own Bob.
Soon as I get there I had to cook my own sausages peppers and fish balls. Yum.

They played the game of embarrassing questions in order to 'test' their competency for marriage.

Questions like, "who approached who the first time", "what was did you say to each other when you first met", "what was his pickup line", "what was the first movie you saw together", "if you had to throw out one thing from your significant other, what would it be", "what thing annoys you the most", etc

The camps were split into his and her side. He mostly had guy friends, she had the guys and the girls, but mostly fobby kind. They had to translate for her some of the questions. It was still fun to watch them mess it all up and score badly. Even better to see them contradict each other, and cause more 'drama' as they tried to defend their own answer.

Cheesecake was good, from some secret super special place Bub knows about in Brooklyn.

Saw a few old aquantainces from the old days. [link]Ray there and surprisingly leafy[link] too. Of course Jack showed up with his Japanese gf. I haven't seen him since the ski trip from years ago when we rented a cabin up north.

stupid kathy didn't even recognize me until my name was floating around the upper eschelons. she had the balls to say, oh so you're Ed, nice to meet you. and shook my hand.

yeah i've only been there 8 years and seen her through many a computer temper tantrums caused by user error (her), and now she realizes it is me.

i'm telling you this is age discrimination. if i was an old fogey, she woulda remembered me. she probably just thought i was the coffee boy. noo i was only the box carrier. she should know the difference.

so they are red flagging me because of the 38% increase in pay. i say they were underpaying me to begin with. sheeesh!

pete broke the news yesterday at the restaurant that he's getting engaged.

of course we all knew before hand, or at least suspected that was the reason behind this announcement dinner.

and today is dennis' engagement party. i bet it is the fiancee's idea to throw this party. kind of silly 6 hour event. going to have to eat & run.

For those of us lucky enough to be downtown, the annual restaurant lunch sampling is tomorrow. There are usually way too many people and not enough food nor places to sit down. Although that shouldn't be a problem since you only get a tiny portion but almost paying full meal prices. Think of it as a food mingle bonanza with all those suits outdoors.

Seafood mixed grill,
clam chowder bowl was going to be too much so go the cup instead; nice
buttered biscuits, and two glasses of water.
The grill had one
lobster tail cut in half to make it look like you had more. 5 scallops
and 6 shrimps on two separate skewers with rice pilaf.

Might not sound like a lot but it sure was filling.
