or as the locals call it "may-nuh"
Going on Friday. Roadtrip!!
It is famous for Lighthouses & Lobsters

Jagged coastal cliffs. I risked life and limb to bring you these pictures from the jaws of the ocean!

It may seem a bit gloomy but it was just an overcast and slightly cloudy.
The ferris wheel was at a closed amusement park right on Old Orchard Beach.
We actually visited all the same places that Adam from Man vs Food tv show went to.
Except that we didn't do his food challenge which was to eat a big amount of food in a certain time limit.
- Tradewinds Cafe - good for a lunch pit stop. it is a mobile home side of the road type of drive up outdoor restaurant. Their haddock and lobster sandwich are good. Although it is a bit pricey at 15 bucks for a hotdog bun sized sandwich stuff with fried lobsters bits.
- Nosh - more modern cafe in Portland town, and it had a great selection of sandwiches and fries in a small metal bucket. Although we didn't have a chance to try out their specialty items, since they were short staffed on Sunday, but it did look good on paper.
- Two Lights Lobster Shack - nice view of the coast and great place to eat your lobster dinner. however we arrived late and it was getting dark. once the sun sets, the mosquitoes come out to play. They do have indoor seating. The clam chowder was good as well as the lobster sandwich.
Had a good time at the hotel's pool and hottub. The water was so warm that when you got out of it and went into the heated pool, it felt like cold water.
We stopped by the old train museum. For eight bucks you can ride on their restored old trains and trolley from all over the world then make a short stop at the pumpkin patch to pick out your pumpkin that was included in the price of the ride. They even had the decommissioned redbird 7 train from New York.
Walked around Maine and saw the sights. I think the highlight was the mile long coastal walk through the Marginal Way path and the visit to the Portland Head light house.
