    Svetlana is even showing up early and going to the VN facility to supervise the whole fiasco.

    We can't wait until we get our first violator in the lanes. He'll be scanned into the database and we'll process him into the system. I can then look him up and track his license plate.

  • Meteor shower again

     

    It is that time of year folks.

     

    Meteor shower this Thursday on August 12 it will peak, but should last from the 11-13th.

    All you have to do is look at the sky in the West direction. Watch it from dark place, the moon will set about 10pm so it should be easier to see. Probably see 1 per minute if you're lucky :)

  • Tour de Queens tomorrow!


    The tour starts bright and early at 9am. Checking/registration is 8am at the Queens Museum of Art in Flushing Meadows. Perhaps you have seen this place in the Men in Black movie where the villainous cockroach is trying to get to his spaceship disguised as one of the two towers. Yep, that's the place, right across from Citi Field (Shea Stadium).
    Only 20 miles, I'm sure it will be at a turtle's pace. Good thing they will give us a snack along the way. nom nom nom!

  • Barcelona Spain - Day 1 & 2

    So begins the journey. Reached Barcelona today*
       
    When we arrived it was raining and I had to use what little Spanish I know to procure an umbrella.


    This is the Magic Fountain at night. The water dances in synch with the music as well as the different lights change with the beat.


    Water statues, one of a dozen all lined up by the side of the stairs. It was overflowing onto the floor.

    I walked a lot. That small chair isn't movable, it is magically attached to the floor, yet positioned like it was casually placed in the park.
