  • Email from Mexico

just emailing cause i have nothing to do while wiating for tthe bb to charge in the comp room.
Cant send pics cause 5 bucks or 50 pesos for 15 min to use internet.
Also im using bcc trick i learned last week. Muahahaa

    Going
dolphin swimming today and a jungle boat snorkeling tour also. I get to
drive the boat also but in mexico we make the ladies do all the driving
and we men just lay back and enjoy the ride. Yeah babyy!

    Nice
hot weahter here so much there are lots of lizards all over the grass.
Instead of pigeon they have black crow things here and peacocks in the
    jungles.

I visited the mayan ruins at chitzen itza. Was pretty
cool since they had advanced knowledge of acoustics and astronomy when
they built those things. AND they had basketball courts in those days.

    Of
course bob if you lose the game and failed to put the rubber ball thru
the tiny stone hole u might have to be sacrificed to appease the gods.

    All
inclusive all you can eat and drink (yes alcoholic) at the hotel. And
senoir frog (bar)was great since the customers are the stars of the
show on the stage. U just go up and shake your booty and do whatever on
    stage.
The waiters all just get up as well and do like a chorus line
but dancing to club music every once in a while. Lots of fun but price.
For the house drink it was 18 bucks and our two appetizers with 3
drinks (2 were sodas) costs us 80 bucks american.  Whoa.
    But all good fun.

Anyway im hungry now going to eat all i can at the breakfast buffet.

    Hasta la pasta fellowz

  • another cat fight almost broke out at my cubicle.
it was all neatly under the guise of banter and protocol as the two indian coworkers were on the verge of breakdown.
one of them let's call her snehal, repeated krishna's accent on an english word slurred with the heavy accent of her dialect in a mocking way, and she didn't know when to stop and kept repeating it.
all of a sudden krishna just stuck her hand out and slapped snehal on the face. *splat*
it was quite a shock. too bad snehal is not carnivorous or else i'd expect more of a retaliation than simply weakly forced laughter instead.

  • brooklyn law detour.
    demoted to errand boy.
dumb sister better appreciate me bringing her food for finals all the way from queens.
note 1: take highway. get lost in the maze of one way streets that is the bane of civilized commuters.

  • Welcome to Paradise

This is the view from the balcony. What you see there are two of the three hotel pools. Those huts on the right side is the poolside bar and the one further in the background on the right is the bathroom. How convenient. In the pool on the right side are cylindrical stone seats submerged by the edge of the pool so you can sit at the unlimited bar and order your drinks.

The left hand side huts are for towels and booking excursion packages such as boating, snorkeling, parasailing, motorboats, etc. The farther one on the left side is the food hut where they serve all-I-can-eat cafeteria type food like hamburgers, quesadillas, nachos with cheese, pizza bites, pasta, fountain drinks that had a swarm of real bees all over the spigots. Yum yum.

Just further away is the actual beach itself. Ironic but that is the style of most places around the world. To taunt nature itself and to show how human prowess would triumph in defiance of the natural order of things. Unfortunately nature usually is the victor. The high tides in the evening will reach the edge of the hotel borders, right undereath those real coconut trees. Can we say erosion?

  • le sigh

So I get back and this is the welcome I get? Rain, slush, ice and horrible NY drivers?* Well the Mexican bus drivers were no better, they might as well have been driving bumper cars on the road the reckless way they handled themselves.

It is just as our pilot said, "Welcome to Paradise!" in a serious voice (he was joking) as we arrived in JFK yesterday night.

Lots of updates and things to catch up with. These past few months have been quite an experience...
    More to come stay tuned!

*3 near accidents already today, and one of them was a traffic cop car no less.

  • life as in the game, it is about the company you keep. it places you in a niche that is unique

  • bcc and me

so today i finally figured out what that bcc was. at least in the context of our office emailing system.

bcc stands for blind carbon/curtesy copy.
I've always thought that that meant you put people in the section you want to be 'blinded' so they won't see other people you are emailing.
